Automatic transmissions can be very sensitive to the fluid used, so make sure you use a fluid that's approved for your gearbox. You must also be careful to avoid any contamination.
NOTE: Some automatic transmissions do not use an ATF but a lightweight gear oil instead. Please check before purchase.
Castrol ATF Dex II Multivehicle is an Automatic Transmission Fluid which may be used in automatic transmissions and power steering units of many types of vehicle where Dexron IID or Mercon performance is required. It is also approved for use in many european heavy duty automatic transmissions and Mercedes Benz manual transmissions.
Castrol Transmax Dex III Multivehicle is designed for use in GM automatic transmissions (ATF) pre 2005 and Ford automatic transmissions built between 1983 and 1996 where Dexron (II or III) or Mercon are required. This product is approved for use in Allison heavy duty transmissions against TES 389. It is also approved for use in a wide range of european heavy duty automatic transmissions. It may be used in some power steering units. NB: Do not use where MERCON V, MERCON SP or DEXRON VI is required. Formerly TQ DIII
